Here's how a Twin is made, from start to finish. Be sure to watch the four videos of the process. Don't worry, we take care of all of the complicated stuff. All you need to do is strike a pose!
Scroll down and see how it's all done.
1 It only takes ¼ second to do a 3D scan of you! We have 89 computer synchronized cameras that work together to scan you in literally a flash. You don't even have to spin around—all the cameras work together to take a 360 degree image of your pose in an instant. You can take several poses and then pick the one you want to print.

2 If you decide to purchase a Twin, the digital information from your scan is uploaded to computer servers in the cloud, where it's processed. If you choose a 3D color figurine, it's then sent to a 3D printer, where your scan is printed, layer by layer, in HD color. Each layer is gypsum and polymer resin, and is only 1⁄16 inch thick. There's no mold involved. The entire 3D printing process takes 6-10 hours for each Twin. Laser cutting of the glass 3D Crystals takes much less time.

3 Next, your Twin figurine is cleaned, and then dipped in cyanoacrylate (also known as Super Glue® or Krazy Glue®) to preserve and harden it. The glass 3D Crystals don't need this, of course. Either way, once your Twin is done, it's shipped to you in a padded box.

4 Now watch a cosplayer in costume do an actual unboxing of her Twin! (Never heard of a cosplayer? They're just folks who really enjoy playing in costumes.)
