Rooftop panels
Our standard rooftop solar charging system is based on two, high output 200+ watt solar panels. Also included are premium MPPT solar charge controllers. The controllers are connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone app. The location of the panels depends on the configuration of your DreamVan.
High output, high efficiency panels are used for two reasons:
- In less than perfect sunlight (under fog or clouds, in a forest, etc.), higher output panels have more charging capability.
- Higher output panels leave room for a roof rack to be used, especially on a roof with a pop-up top.
DreamVans is a fictional recreational vehicle manufacturer. If it were real, it would feature the best ideas and the best technology in the global RV industry today. These innovations have been combined into the models shown on this site. To keep things simple, these DreamVans are all based on the gasoline powered Ford Transit commercial van.
